| Fidbit Leaks Users Sexual Activity On Google’s Front Page Posted: 05 Jul 2011 01:14 AM PDT There are some things you share and some things you don't. Sexual activity is one of them; at least that's how it used to be. Nowadays, with everyone going social, nothing it seems is out of bounds. The well know fitness and calorie tracker website Fitbit, certainly doesn't think so. The website, which lets users record their daily activities towards losing weight, includes among other things, what you've been up to sexually. This I suppose is fine if it's kept in a nice secure area of the site. But when it's on Google's front page, it's a tad bit of a problem. Fitbit profiles have an option to let profiles accessible to the search engines, and this option is checked by default. Hundreds of users unwittingly indexed their most intimate deeds. Now Fitbit is being hailed as the king of "sexual activity syndication". Ouch! Other issues have arisen out of this fiasco too. One user apparently logged a whopping 4hrs towards their sexual activity profile. Many are saying, "no way!", but I think it's just jealousy. Don't you? This should be a wake-up call to people who love to "share". Web companies too, must take greater care in how they handle user-data. Google as we all know is king of search, but this doesn't mean we should let Google have access to everything. Fidbit will have some tiding up to do, but I am sure it will retain most of it's users. It may even attract a few more too, now that people will be looking to out-do that 4hr marathon. Watch the video below to learn a bit more about Fitbit.

| WikiLeaks Takes Aim At Visa And MasterCard With Lawsuit Posted: 05 Jul 2011 01:14 AM PDT WikiLeaks is off the ropes, and making a full frontal assault; at least that's how things probably look from the standpoint of Visa and MasterCard, the two ubiquitous credit card giants. Reports are that the Julian Assange led website, along with it's partner, Datacell, have announced that they plan to file a suit against the two credit cards companies in the European Union (EU) courts. WikiLeaks hit a serious snag at the height of their legal troubles last year, when both companies decided to stop accepting payments on its behalf. Paypal and Amazon also cut ties, but WikiLeaks doesn't intent to sue them, it seems. WikiLeaks is maintaining that the actions of Visa and MasterCard, constituted anti-competitive behaviour and was in direct violation of Article 101 (1) and 102 of the EU competition laws. The suit is expected to be filed in the Danish Maritime and Commercial Court. Now, I am not a lawyer, but given the questionable legality of WikiLeaks' activities, I can't see how such a suit would succeed. It's a bit like illegal organ smugglers, suing a credit card company for not processing their payments—no court in its right mind would side with such a suit. But then again we are talking EU lawmakers here, and in recent months they've passed some pretty crazy laws, so anything is possible. Right? At any rate, it will be interesting to see how things pan out, not least because if Wikileaks can pull this off, it will signal a flood of lawsuits by thousands of web companies who've felt the iron fist of credit card processors. Watch the video below to see how WikiLeaks parodies MasterCard—priceless!

The first thing we can see is their looks, Rockto.com now shows black element and white and grey background as their layout. You can also find some changes on their design like the number of point and the button work as additional information for Followers, Following, and the amount of Posts . “Rock” element and content stream were changed. Mustafa Kemal from Rockto.com said that some of the changes they made are registration process where new users can directly choose topics they like and adjust their Rockto “personalization” according to their needs.
If you have an account and open other user’s account, their interests will show up on the upper side. They also change looks on followers and following number buttons. Still on profile page you can now see friends suggestion and friend search facility. You can get friends suggestions according to your interest, and deals will also be a part of topic suggestions. Kemal also explained other updates such as optimized feed algorithm, although still far from perfect is now able to handle existing feed.
Deals feature enables you to share your business links. Rockto also provide facilities to sort offer, shared by Rockto based on end or begin date. Kemal explained that Rockto’s business platform are not all launched but some of the can now be used. Kemal said, Rockto at the moment has over 3.000 active users with AWStats number reached 8.006.924 last June, increased from 2.214.006 on June last year, their unique users are 300.000 by this June. It is interesting to see several changes happened, especially related to personalization, like interests information and other user’s recommendation based on interest, this can add activities inter users. Deals and Business Profile also look interesting although still needs sometimes to be concluded as successful because it is yet to be tested and fully released. Unfortunately there’s one part of design element that i like most have been changed, the “metal sign” is now smaller and the position of number of “rocks” is also changed. The development planning, as Kemal explained, at the moment is offline recommendation feature for monetizing, design optimization and BlackBerry application optimization. Are you a Rockto user? What do you think of this new version, do you like it or do you think some more improvements need to be done? |
| New Koprol Rolls Out, Starts Implementing Promoted Hashtags Posted: 05 Jul 2011 01:13 AM PDT
The Yahoo-company also rolls out new design for its mobile site synchronizing the look and feel with its new web UI and features. The new look is quite nice, sleek and minimal with full focus on the content and the sidebar although ironically they doesn’t seem to be giving enough exposure to the popular hashtags section (one of their source of income).
The new design isn’t that different from the old Koprol, basically the same layout but on a different look and feel and more white spaces available for users. Unfortunately Koprol’s Satya Witoelar cannot comment on the new look because he’s now a corporate slave (just kidding!) and Koprol is to hold a press conference event this Thursday to officially announce the news changes. please ignore the friend request tab, i can't seem to find a way to get rid of it. |
| ADVANCED PHISHING: TAB NAPPING (Complete Tutorial) Posted: 05 Jul 2011 01:13 AM PDT Important:Read the Disclaimer First Phishing is the most popular and widely used method for hacking email accounts. Phishing is not as easy as it’s name. Creating a phishing page is an easy task and any one can download it from various hacking forums for free. The main step of phishing comes after creation of fake login page. NOTE: If you don’t have any prior knowledge of Phishing or don’t have any Fake login page yet, Get it now: Facebook Phishing Gmail Phishing . How to send this fake page to the victim? Here comes the Tab Napping which can make your second step easy than before. No need to send fake page via email to victim. Tab Napping use the modern browser’s multi tabbed environment. Now a days all people use multiple tabs for accessing Gmail, facebook, orkut and other websites simultaneously. The trick is to confuse user in his/her multiple tabs and redirect any of idle tab of his browser to your phishing silently. Tab Napping works on the user’s assumption that a tabbed web page stays the same when other Internet services are being accessed. How does tab napping work? It is done by checking wether your page is idle or not, if it is idle or not used for some particular time periodthen it gets redirected:Things to be done:1.check for mouse movement2.check for scroll bar movement3.check for keystrokes If any of the above event is not triggered till few seconds , this means user is not using that tab, either is off from system or using other tab, so if these coditions are met, then we redirect it to our phished page, which user thinks it to be genuine page. The idea behind this is very simple and is done by javascript. Tab napping is all about the relation of 2 pages. suppose Page A and Page B. Victim was viewing page A in a tab of a browser and then left this idle and and now using some other website in another tab of browser. If the user will not return to page A for some pre-specified time, page A will automatically redirect to Page B. This Page B is your phishing page. This redirection and cheking for user actions is done by Javascript. Tab napping in action: Get the Java script for tabbed napping here (Its just a text file which includes the script…so need to worry about scanning it!) Make a web page and use the tab napping script in that page say it page A. This script will not affect the layout or content of the page. This script will check for user actions. If the page is idle for some time, this script will redirect this page to a pre-specified page which may be your phishing page. You have to specify this page in the script. Be sure to change this in script. check script for this line… timerRedirect = setInterval(“location.href=’http://www.gmail.com’”,10000); this line will redirect to Gmail after 10 sec. Change this location to the address of your phishing page. This line is used 2 times in the script so change is both lines. so, page A with tab napping script will redirect to phishing page B. Now send the link of the page A to your victim. This is a normal page. If the page is idle for some time it will be changed to page B otherwise no effect. |

NOTE:Kindly refer this Wikipedia page for such shortcuts for other browsers. Make a folder on Chrome’s Bookmarks Toolbar. In there create these bookmarks. Then open the folder and right click each link and click on EDIT and replace the Name and URL with the info below.
